Nice to see how different this is in terms of lyrics, music arrangements, dialogue compared to the 1992 Sydmonton video. Very grainy, a lot of gen loss B- |
| Sunset Boulevard - Sydmonton - September 5, 1992 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Patti LuPone (Norma Desmond), Kevin Anderson (Joe Gillis) NOTES: It’s a proshot. But it’s a very high generation proshot with a massive amount of generation loss and distortion in the picture. The audio’s still OK but not great. Despite stabilisation and colour rebalancing, this still is painful to actually look at if you have any kind of light sensitivity. Act two is better at times, and falls into complete and total dropouts at others. Note: There seems to be two versions of this dvd being traded around. One is the wrong aspect ratio and very grainy and the second one is more clearer and has the right aspect ratio. Please check with traders. |

Definitely filmed in July. |

DeMille) NOTES: Beautifully filmed with great close-ups. Occasional heads in the bottom of the frame. Some generational loss, and some tracking issues, VHS flicker gets worse towards end, but surprisingly good for it’s age. |
